What do I need to use DuoRemote?
A Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later and an iPhone running iOS 26 or later: iPhone Duo or any other. Install our app on the Mac and the free app from the App Store on the iPhone.
Does it work away from home?
Yes, with DuoRemote Pro. Your iPhone connects to your Mac over an encrypted link from any network, with no VPN and no open ports. On your home network it is always free.
Is it secure?
Each iPhone pairs with your Mac using a QR code and keys that never leave your devices. The session is end-to-end encrypted: the server only relays bytes it cannot read.
Why is there no password?
Because passwords get stolen. You sign in with a passkey (Face ID or Touch ID) or with Apple. If you prefer, you can also sign in with a code sent to your email.
Do I need to turn anything on on my Mac?
Screen Sharing, which comes with macOS. The Mac app opens the exact settings pane and tells you as soon as it is ready. DuoRemote never exposes your Mac to the internet.
Who pays, the Mac or the iPhone?
The subscription belongs to the Mac. The iPhone app is free and you can use it with any Mac you have been given access to.
Which currency will I pay in?
We show the price in your country's currency when available (USD, MXN or EUR). Depending on your country, prices may include or exclude tax; you always see the total before you pay. Stripe may also offer to let you pay in your local currency.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You get a 14-day free trial and can cancel from your account in two clicks. If you cancel, you keep using DuoRemote for free on your home network.
