Something not working? Here are the most common answers. If yours isn't here, email us at soporte@duoremote.app.

What do I need?

A Mac with macOS 14 or later running the free DuoRemote Mac app (from the download page) and an iPhone with iOS 26. Works best on iPhone Duo.

How do I turn on Screen Sharing?

On the Mac: System Settings → General → Sharing → Screen Sharing. The Mac app walks you through it and checks it is on.

How do I pair my iPhone?

Open DuoRemote on the Mac and choose Pair iPhone (Emparejar iPhone): a QR code appears. On the iPhone tap Pair and scan it with the camera.

The screen is black or the pointer does not move

Make sure Screen Sharing is on and your user has access (the ⓘ button next to Screen Sharing). On the same Wi-Fi, try Direct (LAN) mode.

How do I connect away from home?

Sign in with your account on the iPhone and the Mac, and pair them. The connection is end-to-end encrypted. On your home network it works without an account.

My Mac restarted and will not connect

If your Mac uses FileVault it must be unlocked after a restart. From your home network the app can unlock it over SSH if Remote Login is on.

How do I delete my account?

On the iPhone: Account → Delete account. Your account, devices and pairings are deleted.
